Make Money Online by Combining Craigslist and eBay
Today I want to tell you about a very simple and relatively quick way to make money online by combining eBay and Craigslist. You won’t get rich from it but you can certainly make some extra money to pay bills or take a vacation!
As you probably already know, Craigslist is one of the most popular websites in the world. It receives millions of visitors per day so it’s no wonder why internet marketers have swarmed to it in order to get a piece of that traffic.
Then we have eBay, which is also one of the largest and most successful websites in the world. And with the incredible amount of traffic to this site, the same can be said about internet marketers trying every which way to make money from it.
But check this out…
The simple money making method that I am about to explain could be done by anyone with internet access and a little bit of ambition, even someone who doesn’t have a clue what internet marketing is, because it really doesn’t have anything to do with what we typically call “internet marketing.” If you have ever bought something and later sold it for a higher price (or thought you could have), then you’ll definitely see where I’m going with this in a minute!
You see, Craigslist has a presence in every major city and most surrounding areas, and people often sell stuff on Craigslist to get rid of it fast, and a lot of the time they sell it for less than it’s worth. Everything from desks to computers and just about anything else, Craigslist seems to be the first place the average person goes to unload their goods. One of the main reasons is the fact that it’s free. Not only is it free, but it’s very easy to list things in a quick and efficient manner. Bottom line: there are many, many deals to be found on Craigslist!
Now, back to eBay – what’s the one place you check when you’re looking for that hard to find electronic gadget, rare piece of jewelry or something else you can’t seem find anywhere else? Ebay, of course!
See where this is going?
Here’s how it works… All you have to do is scour through Craigslist (the best deals are usually found in the electronics section), and look for things like IPods, IPhones, laptops, video game systems, and other similar items. Typically, if you come across one of these items, the person selling it is just trying to get rid of it fast and make some money back on it. They will almost always take a lower price than what they’re advertising, which is usually pretty low already. As soon as you see a good price on something listed on Craigslist, it’s time to head over to eBay.
Once you’re on eBay, click on “advanced search”, and once you’re in the advanced search section, check the box that says “completed auctions”. Then type in the product that you found on Craigslist for a good price, and see if they’ve been selling on eBay, and for how much on average. If the price is consistently higher on eBay for that item, and it looks like plenty of them have been sold, then you have a potential money maker!
For instance, let’s say you found a new laptop on Craigslist, and you’ve negotiated the price down to $300 cash. You then head over to eBay and find the same type of laptop is selling like crazy for $425 each on average. Right there you have a chance to make about $125 profit. This can be done over and over again on many different items!
What have we learned here?
Find items to buy low on Craigslist, then turn around and flip them on eBay for a nice profit. There aren’t a whole lot of people doing this yet, and if you live in a small to mid size city, you might be sitting on a goldmine. This can be a very quick and easy way to make money online!
How To Start Making Money Online with Zero Investment
In this article I will describe to you, how you can finally start making money online without spending your very own, hard earned cash.
I think this is how you should start (in my opinion) if you are skeptical to this whole deal and think that everyone is a scammer just trying to sell you a product. You see, everyone isn’t, but if you’re really skeptical you can start out like this and then you can move up to something like Google Cash where you make more money with very little investment and HUGE return on it.
Actually, this is a variation on bum marketing, and it includes making blogs (Don’t worry, it’s easy).
So how do you get started?
READ CAREFULLY, EVERY WORD I SAY!!
STEP ONE:
Go to clickbank and register as an affiliate if you’re not already. On the top, select marketplace.
There, select a topic you think might be interesting to people. Find a product with a *Gravity of at least 50, but no higher than 100 as the competition will be very fierce.
STEP TWO:
Go to blogger.com and set up a free blog which name includes the name of your chosen product, and also include it in the blog description. Pick a cool template for it to make it look more professional. I usually download a different theme from somewhere else and upload it to blogger. This way I can be more original than every other blogger blog promoting products.
STEP THREE:
Write a 300-700 word article about your product. The title of the post should be the products name.
Now, you can write this in two ways, you can either just promote it, and tell people the benefits of it and how much cooler they will become if they buy it. That’s the ’sales letter’ way.
The other way is to write a review of the product, and provide your positive opinion about the product. This way is of course more sneaky as you most likely don’t own the product. If you do own the product you’re promoting and is satisfied with your purchase, then all is good. Just write your honest opinion of it and tell people how cool it is and how they should really check it out.
I don’t care which way you choose, it’s up to you.
Just make sure you post your affiliate link in the beginning, and in the end of the article. You can put it in the middle of it if feel it’s necessary and if it fits in.
Post on this blog every or every other day for about a week or two weeks.
STEP FOUR:
Go to squidoo.com and put up a lens there and write about your chosen product, just like you did on the blog.
Put a link on the squidoo lens and link it to your blog.
If you want to, you can do the same with hubpages.com and you know, etc. Squidoo has a higher pagerank though, meaning you can more easily rank in google from there.
STEP FIVE:
Go to ezinearticles.com and submit two to three articles about the NICHE of the product, ie, the category the product belongs to. Just write a short article about the niche, or maybe a review of the product itself. If you decide to talk about the actual product, make sure you use the name of the product several times in the article(s).
Be sure to link from the article to both the blog and to the squidoo lens.
STEP SIX:
Put a link on the blog to the squidoo lens.
If you missed that above, make sure to keep posting in the blog for about a week or two. Hehe.
STEP SEVEN:
By now you should be seeing some cash flow coming into your clickbank account. If you want to increase it, add a few more squidoo lenses and articles, make a couple more blog posts, etc.
THE COOLEST STEP OF ALL, STEP EIGHT!
Where do I go from here to keep up the cash flow?
REPEAT!!!
Just do the entire process all over again, find a new clickbank product and just go from there.
BUT, from the NEW blogs and the NEW Squidoo lenses and articles, LINK TO THE OLD ONES!
Crosslink everything.
The cool part is this, when you have a network of like, 15 blogs or so, it will become VERY EASY to get ranked in Google.
So the awesome part is, that all of the blogs and articles and lenses will get ranked in google (becomes easier every time) and you will keep making money from all of them.
Some people still make money from articles they put up like four years ago!
So when you’ve been doing this for a while, you should be seeing some serious income every month. Some people are making Thousands and thousands of dollars with this system! It is truly brilliant.
Go do it now.
